The Queen's Diamond Jubilee

To mark 60 years of The Queen's reign the Diamond Jubilee will take place in 2012 and celebrations will centre around an extended weekend on across the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th June. The 2012 late May bank holiday will be moved to Monday 4th June 2012 and an additional Jubilee bank holiday will be on Tuesday 5th June 2012.

A Very British Afternoon Tea

Celebrate all things British with an afternoon tea to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee at Guoman's suitably regal, historic five-star The Royal Horseguards, in London's Whitehall. Presented on the hotel's intimate outdoor terrace with spectacular views of the iconic river Thames and the London Eye, resident head pastry chef Joanne Todd has designed the exclusive ode to HM The Queen's 60 years on the throne.

Countdown Begins to World Environment Day 2012

From the floor of the National Senate, to the streets of Rio de Janeiro, the countdown to World Environment Day (WED) on 5th June 2012 is well under way in Brazil. This year's host country is preparing to lead what promises to be the largest WED celebrations in the event's four-decade history. Under the WED 2012 theme Green Economy: Does it Include You?- people across the world are set to carry out thousands of environmental activities on and around the day.

The Latest in a Great Line Up at Guilfest

Bjorn Again, Dodgy, Alvin Stardust, Bastille, Rolo Tomassi, Glitterband, Feed The Rhino, Lost Alone, TRC, Dismantle, Millions Like Us, The Priscillas, Chords, Take Fat. The wonderful Björn Again are confirmed to perform on The Main Stage on Saturday 14th July.

London is Getting Greener

To prove it, the London Green Fair returns with another massive dose of everything good and green about the capital. Celebrating its 20th birthday this year on 9th and 10th of June in Regent's Park, the folks at the London Green Fair certainly have a lot of experience producing the festival - the greenest event in the capital. It recently won Best Event at the National Climate Week Awards and best of all it's FREE.

The countdown to Armed Forces Day on Saturday 30th June 2012 continues and the pace of activity is quickening with over a hundred events, the length and breadth of the country, have now been registered. Plymouth has been chosen to host this year.
