About Us

Where We Began

Founded in 2010 as 'Your Source Today', the website was launched to support and accompany the print copy of 'The Source' - which was distributed quarterly across London and the South East as an insert with The Sunday Observer (2010/2011). Kokova Magazine rebranded post-covid after losing the original domain name, and are sharing all the original content now under our new name.

Where We Are Today

Having worked on Your Source Today for over a decade, it was difficult to change but we are moving forward as Kokova Magazine, focusing on the things we have discovered over the years. This means a more intimate and personal approach where we strive to give honest, unbiased views and reviews across all our channels, and share our discovery of new, exciting products, producers, and places to visit.

Meet the Team

Sue SheenSusan Sheen

Susan began with The Source magazine in 2010, and is still as passionate and driven today when it comes to Kokova Magazine. She is definitely an over-sharer who loves discovering new products, independent producers and interesting stories. Since lockdown, Susan has found a new passion - travel. When she is not working on Kokova Magazine, Susan can be found organising chocolate events and art exhibitions... "I can't imagine retirement while there is still so much to see, do and share."

Andy DaltonAndy Dalton

Technical Director Andy oversees the website improvements. He fixes the 'bugs' to ensure the Kokova Magazine website runs smoothly and is available to visitors. Andy shares a passion for good food and takes great delight in sourcing new leads for the team to follow up on. When it comes to fine wines and spirits, Andy is the connoisseur. He shares the same ideals when it comes to sourcing everyday meals, and prefers to shop around at local producers to ensure the quality of the food on his plate meets his expectations.

Sarah SheenSarah Sheen

Sarah is the driving force behind our movement towards fresh home-cooked food and meal planning. From an early age, Sarah questioned where the food on her plate came from and set out to learn more information on ethically sourced goods and gentler farming practices. This meant she could follow a balanced diet while staying true to her feelings on animal welfare and crop production. Sarah has the gift of being able to taste a recipe, knowing exactly what it needs to bring out the best in the overall flavour of the meal.

Andy KyriacouAndy Kyriacou

Prior to my foray into journalism, I was (and still am) lead singer for 80's hit band 'Modern Romance'. I have contributed to several online reviews, concentrating on culinary and travel assignments; while also 'dipping my toes' into movie reviews, putting the spotlight on extraordinary people, and some light hearted, unfocused fun. Andy still performs on a regular basis with Modern Romance, and has the first in a series of children's' books completed. He is also transcribing the personal diaries he kept throughout the 80s, during the heyday of Modern Romance.

At Kokova Magazine, we also have a lovely team of 'guinea pigs' who we can call upon for product reviews, but are keen to increase our team - so if you are a food writer or blogger and would like the opportunity to have your work included, please contact us regarding guest posts at info@kokovamagazine.com
