About Us
The Early Years
Since 2010, Kokova Magazine shared a spectrum of resources and information on all aspects of life, including food & drink with free-from options, lifestyle choices, travel routes, and destinations, days out, and events. Through a variety of offers and prize, we promoted producers and suppliers through competitions and kept our readers up to date on food and lifestyle events. We aimed to give honest, unbiased views and reviews across all our channels, and share in our discovery of new, exciting products, producers, and places to visit. The ‘Kokova Magazine’ website (previously The Source Mag Online) was first launched to support and accompany the print copy of The Source, which was distributed with The Sunday Observer (across London and the South East in 2010/2011). It went on to become Your Source Today (online) in 2012.
Where We Are Today
Having worked on this website for over a decade, it is hard to let go and change direction, but now we are moving on as Kokova Magazine, focusing on the things we have discovered over the years and want to share. This will be a new turnaround for the Kokova Magazine team, with a more intimate and personal approach.
Meet the team
Editor/CEO
Susan is driven by a passion for bringing more choice and information into as many people's lives as possible regarding alternative options to mainstream shopping. By encouraging consumers to support their local and individual suppliers, Susan hopes to bring back a sense of community to cities, towns and villages across the UK, regardless of how big they become. Whilst understanding everyone has the right to a choice of their own, Susan hopes to encourage people to try something different and look at where their shopping comes from and who has produced it. editor@kokovamagazine.com
Software Developer
Technical Director, Andy oversees and implements all of the website improvements. He fixes all the 'bugs' to ensure the Kokova Magazine website runs smoothly and is available to visitors daily. He shares a passion for good food and takes great delight in sourcing new leads for the team to follow up on. When it comes to fine wines and spirits, Andy is the connoisseur, and when he is not fixing code he attends events as our photographer. Andy shares the same ideals when it comes to sourcing everyday meals, and prefers to shop around at local producers to ensure the quality of the food on his plate meets his expectations.
Food Editor & Recipes
Food Editor and Chief Recipe Advisor, Sarah is the driving force behind our movement towards fresh home-cooked food, and meal planning. From an early age, Sarah questioned where the food on her plate came from and set out to find more information on ethically sourced goods and gentler farming practices. This meant she could follow a balanced diet while staying true to her feelings on animal welfare and crop production. Sarah has the gift of being able to taste a recipe, then know exactly what it needs to bring out the best in the overall flavour of the meal. She has a knack for knowing just what is missing.
