EcoForce - Green Cleaning With Meaning

With so many disposable products available in the shops today, we put the spotlight on a company that is helping you to help the environment, while you clean.

Easy-Do Products is a privately-owned, family run business first established in 1968 that designs and manufactures two ranges - Dishmatic and EcoForce.

Dishmatic is a fillable washing up sponge scourer with a replaceable head and EcoForce is a range of everyday, affordable, household products made from recycled materials including clothes pegs, peg baskets and clothes line, recycled food bag grips, recycled dusters, cloths, sponges and scourers.

All design and manufacture takes place in Wellingborough, Northants using pre and post consumer waste from accredited EU sources.

All products are made with at least 90% recycled waste.

The MD, Daniel Neumann, pioneered the design and launch of EcoForce in 2008.

I've always been interested in environmental issues and using recycled materials just seems obvious. We recycle more and more of our waste and consumers have a right to know what happens to their recycled waste materials.

I wanted to do something that would show the general public what can be done with recycled waste and deliver recycled products back into the market place that are just as good, if not better, than those made from virgin material.

We live in a world of finite resources and this is not going to change. It seems crazy that so many everyday items are manufactured using virgin plastic at great cost to the environment when in so many cases it is completely unnecessary.

In April 2010 the new EcoForce recycled peg basket and clothes line were launched as part of EcoForce's growing range of innovative, ground-breaking recycled products.

The peg basket is made in the EU from 94% recycled plastic and has a unique stackable design comprising through carton packaging that can be stacked to give more effective and varied merchandising options.Ecoforce Pegbasket

The objective was to increase the choice of recycled products available and thus conserve precious fossil fuels and reduce energy costs.

Making recycled plastic uses 70% less energy than making virgin plastic and products such as EcoForce perform just as well, if not better, than alternatives made from virgin plastic.

The EcoForce range is performing strongly - sales were up 52% year on year to 2008, 47% yoy to 2009, and grew by 60% in 2010.

New listings have strengthened distribution for EcoForce with the range now available in Sainsbury, Tesco, Morrison, Waitrose, Oxfam, Homebase, B & Q, Dunelm Mill and Ocado on line.
