Film Celebrates the Best of Liverpool City Region Produce

Food Tourism Connect, the campaign to drive demand for food created and produced in Liverpool City Region, has launched a short film to stimulate interest in local producers. The video was first screened at Liverpool's FACT Cinema, and was shot and produced by acclaimed Liverpool photographer Mark McNulty. It will be used to promote Liverpool City Region produce to the public and businesses.

The Cake and Bake Show Heads To Manchester In April 2013

Due to the phenomenal reaction to the sell out launch show in London, the Cake & Bake Show, the UK's biggest experiential event dedicated to all things baking, is proud to announce that a second edition of the show will take place at Manchester Central over three days, 5th-7th April 2013. The first Cake & Bake Show held at Earls Court last September sold out four weeks before the event, and attracted more than 21,000 visitors across two days, demonstrating that the public's demand for baking shows no sign of slowing down.

British Cooker Company Celebrates 100th Anniversary With Edible Tweets on Giant, Crowdsourced Birthday Cake

British cooker manufacturer Belling is celebrating its 100th anniversary this week with an eight-foot interactive cake and, for five days, social media users can add to the design by tweeting a birthday message. The 'tweets' will be auto-printed onto edible paper using edible ink and added instantly to the cake. The eight-foot high birthday cake has been created by quirky cake artist Connie Viney and the design - which shows historic British events from the last 100 years - was crowdsourced via Belling's Facebook community.
