A Foodie Double Bill with Restaurant Critic and One Show Regular Jay Rayner

The Taste Cumbria Food Festival, held in Cockermouth 29th - 30th September 2012, will serve up food and drink from over a hundred of Cumbria's best producers, hoteliers and restaurateurs. Saturday Kitchen Chef James Martin and Sunday Brunch Star Simon Rimmer will be headlining the festival cookery theatre. On the evening of Saturday the 29th September, Jay Rayner, Restaurant Critic for the Observer will be hosting a food lover's double bill in a special marquee at the Trout Hotel.

Aiden Byrne Backs Campaign to Promote Food from Liverpool City Region

Liverpool-born celebrity chef Aiden Byrne has this week launched the Food Tourism Connect project, which will champion food produced in the Liverpool City Region. Food Tourism Connect is funded by the Rural Development Programme for England. The initiative is a commitment to raising the profile of rurally produced food among visitors to Liverpool City Region and to drive demand by promoting it direct to consumers, buyers and wholesalers.

Having been the winner of the Scottish Daily Mail Edinburgh Festival Fringe Drama Award, a group of recent musical theatre graduates are now preparing to take the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival by storm with their original production The Picture House Musical that will run at theSPACE on North Bridge from Friday 3rd to Saturday 18th August.

2011 Investec Derby winning jockey, Mickael Barzalona promotes The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, who will be playing at Epsom Downs Racecourse on Thursday 2nd August, after an evening of racing.
