Jeans for Genes
This year's Jeans for Genes Day takes place on Friday 7th October 2011.
A beautifully simple idea, the Day invites people to leave their suits and uniforms at home and wear their jeans to work or school in return for a donation.
The charity has now raised £36million to fund research into a wide range of genetic disorders which affect an estimated 1 in 25 children born in the UK.
The money has also helped to provide care, support and equipment for children and families across the UK.
Celebrity supporters this year include: -
Christine Bleakley, Amber Le Bon, Stacey Solomon, Danielle Lloyd, girl band PARADE and Jamie Lomas.
The target for this year's Jeans for Genes Day is £2.6million.
