Make Simple Desserts that Everyone Can Enjoy with the Dessert Bullet

We cannot hide the fact that since we got our first Nutribullet, we have become nutriblast devotees, so when we discovered the Dessert Bullet we were more than a little keen to try out some of the frozen dessert recipes that are tailor-made especially for it.

As we search for more simple, healthier choices in our weekly menu we have found desserts were one of the first things we had to cut back on. Store bought ready-made offerings were high in calories, sugars and artificial preservatives - while freshly made trifles and creamy cakes loaded us up with too many calories to be a regular treat, and have been sidelined for occasional celebrations or indulgence.

So looking for alternatives left us with a lot of fresh fruit, which even with the best will in the world and the greatest imagination, can become boring after not too long.

However, the Dessert Bullet turns simple frozen fruits into delicious frosty treats, without the extra sugar, fat, chemicals, or calories of more traditional frozen desserts. And to start our review we chose a Chocolate Nut Sundae recipe to try!

Preparing the fruit first is the biggest advantage and it helps to have frozen banana slices to hand in the freezer for many of the listed recipes that come in a handy book, along with the Dessert Bullet.

Putting the Dessert Bullet together is easy and using it even easier! Cleaning it does take more time in comparison to the Nutribullet but we would recommend having friends round and doubling up on the ingredients so you can do a second run through before you dismantle.

Having said that, all the components come apart easily and completely for total cleaning. We would recommend a baby bottle brush for the harder to reach areas, but because all the desserts are fairly soft most of the remaining product washes off after a quick rinse and soak.

In terms of taste, what could be better than freshly mixed fruits and nuts, served at the perfect consistency and in under ten second?

The Dessert Bullet differs from the Nutribullet in that it offers a 'Mr Whippy' style dessert as opposed to a smoothie. Once we had made the Chocolate Nut Sundae we mixed it up a bit and swapped the vanilla for some frozen soya yoghurt cubes.

Priced at just £59.99 the Dessert Bullet will open up a whole new selection of desserts to many people who follow special diets by putting you back in control of what goes into the mix. The Chocolate Nut Sundae recipe is gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, diabetic friendly and comes in at under 200 calories, with no added sugar.
