MS Awareness Week 2011

How many people really understand what MS is? Even those who know that MS stands for multiple sclerosis rarely appreciate the impact it can have. MS Awareness Week (21 - 27 May 2011) is an opportunity for the Multiple Sclerosis Trust to help change this and encourage people across the UK to better understand MS.

Great British Beer Festival 2011

Britain’s biggest beer festival, brought to you by CAMRA - the Campaign for Real Ale - is back in August, with its organisers set for another potentially record breaking year! The Festival is the biggest of its kind in the UK and is back this year at Earls Court, London from 2nd to 6th August.

British Sandwich Week 15th -21st May 2011

British Sandwich Week takes place in May each year and is a celebration of the ‘sandwich’ created by the 4th Earl of Sandwich in 1762. From its humble beginnings as a ‘snack’ - taken so that the Earl could eat without having to stop playing cards - the sandwich is today by far the most popular hand held meal eaten in the UK.

The Natural Wine Fortnight

The Natural Wine Fair takes place mid-way through National Wine Fortnight, which runs from 9th - 22nd May 2011 and involves tasting events and offers in wine shops and restaurants around the country.
