Great British Beer Festival 2011

Great British Beer Festival 2011

Britain’s biggest beer festival, brought to you by CAMRA - the Campaign for Real Ale - is back in August, with its organisers set for another potentially record breaking year!

The Festival is the biggest of its kind in the UK and is back this year at Earls Court, London from 2nd to 6th August.

Last year, over 66,000 people flocked to Earls Court for the Festival over the 5 days, sampling over 500 different real ales, ciders and perries, and breaking a new attendance record for the event in the process.

Girls BeerAs well as serving the best real brews from around Britain, CAMRA’s designated foreign beer bar offered drinkers a vast choice of beers from nations such as Germany, Belgium, Italy, USA, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands.

In 2011, drinkers at the festival should expect a total of over 700 different real ales, ciders, perries and foreign beers dotted around the many bars at the festival, including individual brewery bars from some of Britain’s best loved brewers.

To complement this range there promises to be a fantastic live music line up, a diverse array of catering options including traditional pub snacks, a host of classic pub games and the chance to join a beer expert on a tutored tasting.

For beer lovers across the UK the nation’s most prestigious awards, the Champion Beer of Britain finals, will take place at the festival on Tuesday August 2nd. In 2010 Castle Rock brewery of Nottingham came away as overall winner for their beer ‘Harvest Pale’.

With almost 800 real ale breweries now operational around the country - who will walk away this year with the title of ‘Best in Britain’?

With the event set to move to London’s Olympia venue in 2012, come and join CAMRA for its send off festival at Earls Court, at a time when over half of UK pub goers have now tried Britain’s National Drink!
