Hertfordshire-based Phillip Miller has won the 53rd Hickstead Derby on Caritiar Z, with the 36-year old producing the sole clear on the 13-year-old grey gelding. The later drawn Trevor Breen (Adventure De Kannan) and William Funnell (Dorada) were left to settle for second place with four faults apiece, both knocking down the open ditch, near to the end of the course.
Robert Power, the National Hunt jockey who won the 2007 John Smith's Grand National on Silver Birch, made a winning return to Hickstead on Saturday 22nd June 2013. You don't have to look far for somewhere to eat when you are popping in and around London. Streets lined with cafés and restaurants can be found at every turn - and good food is bountiful, with many eateries offering a complete range of cultural dishes and delights. But when you are looking for honestly good Brazilian street food then one of the top places to try is 33 Dean Street, in the heart of Soho, where you will find Galeto - a new 'Streatery' style restaurant bringing Brazilian spice to Soho.
Saudi Arabian rider Abdullah Al Sharbatly proved once again that he is a force to be reckoned with against the clock, winning the Bunn Leisure Derby Tankard with more than one second to spare. Abdullah, 30, partnered the quick and careful dun mare Chesterfield, holding off opposition from second-placed Joe Clayton and Ingliston Twister.
