For a small county, it’s a whopper of a festival! Pembrokeshire Fish Week 2011 is packed with more than 250 events between 25th June and 3rd July.

It celebrates the county’s spectacular coastline, delicious seafood, and maritime heritage. And you don’t have to love fish to join in the fun!

Outdoor-lovers can enjoy guided island and beach walks, boat and fishing trips, coasteering, kayaking, sailing and much more.

For children, there are crab-catching sessions, beach explorer days, craft workshops, and seashore safaris – explore crystal-clear rock-pools and learn about what lives there.

Anglers can enter major sea angling and coarse fishing championships with fantastic prizes. Crabbing FishweekAnd if you’ve always wanted to try angling, there are a range of learn-to-fish and coaching days.

But if you do love eating fish and shellfish, then you’ve come to the right place!

Tuck into freshest local produce - from seafood barbecues and good old fish and chips, to local lobster and seafood extravaganzas.

Forage for a rich variety of edible seashore plants with experts at Freshwater West, the Nevern estuary, and Solva.

Learn how to dish up your very own inspiring seafood dishes in workshops and classes.

And don’t miss ‘Five go Fishing - Cook your Catch’ – a seafood cookery masterclass at the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven on 29th June.

The masterclass will feature five of Britain’s top chefs – Bryn Williams, Mark Hix, Valentine Warner, Mitch Tonks, and Anthony Evans.

Pembrokeshire Fish Week is organised by Pembrokeshire County Council and part funded through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013, which is financed by the EU and the Welsh Assembly Government.

Fish Week casts off on 25th June at 10am with a fun-filled open day with plenty for families and foodies at Milford Haven Marina. Come along and join the fun!
