October is Choctober - as the nation celebrates chocolate week again this year.

Chocolate Week, voted the nations favourite themed week, a celebration of fine chocolate taking place from 10th-16th October.

This year there are more events than ever, culminating in Chocolate Unwrapped, a marvellous chocolate show at Vinopolis on 15th & 16th.

The UK's top chocolatiers and chocolate companies all celebrate by organising eventsKeith Sculpture around the country - tastings, demonstrations, sampling, creating exclusive products, new launches, offers, chocolate meals, cocktails and recipes.

Current highlights of this year's week (many more to follow) include:

  • Chocolate Unwrapped - a dedicated chocolate show at Vinopolis on 15th & 16th October. With over 4000 visitors and 40 exhibitors which includes the best of British and also chocolate companies from around the world, Switzerland, Italy, France, Belgium and more. View chocolate art, meet the chocolatiers, talks, demos, taste the very best chocolate, relax in the Harvey Nichols chocolate cafĂ©, see a cocoa tree and watch chocolate being made in the smallest chocolate factory in the world.
  • The worlds first ever pop-up bean to bar chocolate factory at a chocolate festival in the heart of Manchester which also features a chocolate museum, market and the opportunity for people to design their own bar while they wait.
  • Jason Atherton chocolate tasting at Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge.
  • Over 350 events around the UK
  • Thorntons continue their Centenary celebrations with their exclusive, gold award winning centenary collection.
  • Divine chocolate recipes from Mary Berry, Lorraine Pascale and Gregg Wallace. Divine have organised a plethora of events including a chocolate and honey dessert at the Lancaster London hotel using honey from the Lancaster’s own rooftop hives.

Chocolate Week was set up to promote fine flavour chocolate, the independent artisan chocolatiers and the chocolate companies who work in partnership directly with the cocoa farmers. It aims to encourage consumers to pay a fairer price for their chocolate.
