The arrival of gluten-free pre-packaged paninis from Freedom Deli signals the start of a new era in free from freedom. Grabbing a quick snack in a deli or cafe can be a real chore if you follow a gluten-free diet. Many of the ready-packaged offerings available leave a lot to be desired, with lack lustre fillings on a cardboard bed of 'bread' - and if you are lucky enough to find fresh, the worry of cross-contamination can be enough to stop your appetite in it's tracks. Earlier this year Hodmedod introduced us to the humble but versatile Fava bean - and we thoroughly enjoyed our baking experience, making some Moroccan Bessara, a spicy little dip that also doubled as a soup. Well now we are back with Hodmedod's Kabuki beans and by following the recipes supplied in one of the handy little books that come with every packet, we made their Wasabi & Pea dip and Pea & Ham soup.

Despite only being launched into the UK market this year (2013) the growing popularity, as well as food industry and consumer reaction to CELIA gluten-free Czech craft pilsner is going from strength to strength. CELIA now boasts a prestigious 'Best Gluten Free Beer' accolade at the 2013 FreeFrom Food Awards. Co-founders Nick McNally and Martin Vozar were presented with the award in London by celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson.
