Cirio Adds some Flavour with a Tasty New Duo
Cirio, Italy's favourite tomato brand, is launching two delicious new lines for lovers of authentic Italian cooking.
Single-serve Passata Rustica follows on from the popularity of Cirio's family-sized jar, and is being launched in response to some shoppers' demands for a smaller pack size.
Offering an easier way to prepare single-serve authentic Italian dishes including soups, casseroles, stews and pasta sauces, CIRIO Passata Rustica will now also be available in 350g twin pack jars.
Made from only the finest Italian tomatoes which are picked at their ripest and then passed through a coarse sieve, the new addition features Cirio Passata Rustica's unmistakable consistency, texture and body, while cutting down on waste for those who don’t need a larger jar.
The launch of single-serve Passata Rustica follows on from the success of our larger 680g jars and is in response to what some shoppers told us they wanted. In these cost- and environmentally-conscious times, many people were telling us they loved our Passata Rustica, but were looking for a smaller jar to cut down on cost and waste.

Meanwhile, Cirio Pizzassimo is another new addition to Cirio's UK line-up and is an authentic and convenient Italian pizza sauce topping.
Bursting with the taste of sun-ripened tomatoes, Cirio very finely chops its finest tomatoes to produce a thick and creamy pizza sauce that is complemented with a finely balanced blend of aromatic Mediterranean herbs: basil, oregano, marjoram and onion.
Cirio's Pizzassimo offers consumers a convenient, authentic Italian pizza sauce topping for bases either baked from scratch or prebaked and, as with all CIRIO products, Pizzassimo uses tomatoes grown, harvested and packed in Italy for authenticity and flavour. CIRIO Pizzassimo sauce is available in 400g tins.
