Energy Saving Week 2011

Save the date 24th - 28th October, as it's the fifteenth Energy Saving Week and this year the Energy Saving Trust is looking at how you can "Take back control of your energy bills". Energy Saving Week is a unique annual event led by the Energy Saving Trust and this year's theme draws on how consumers can take back control of their spiralling energy bills at home.

International Children's Painting Competition Winner

A love of walking in forests in her home country of the Philippines inspired the winning entry of 13-year-old Trisha Co Reyes in the 2011 International Children's Painting Competition on the Environment. Trisha beat over 600,000 other young people to win first place in the competition, which is organised by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
