Wallace and Gromit Wake Up the Nation

Wallace and Gromit Wake Up the Nation

Wallace & Gromit are calling on people across the UK to join The BIG Breakfast 20th - 27th April to raise thousands of pounds for sick children in hospitals and hospices by enjoying their BIG Breakfast.

People from all walks of life are being invited to take part and host a 'Wallace & Gromit BIG Breakfast'.

The event is being launched on 8 million cartons of Robert Wiseman Dairies famous Black & White Milk range.

Robert Wiseman Dairies is delighted to be supporting Wallace & Gromit's Biggest Breakfast Challenge. What better way to encourage people to get involved than putting information about how to get involved on our cartons and onto the breakfast tables in millions of homes across Britain.

Research suggests that breakfast eaters have lower stress levels and better Wallace Gromit Breakfastconcentration than breakfast skippers, yet 1 in 4 adults in the UK admit to regularly skipping breakfast.

So Wallace & Gromit's BIG Breakfast calls on the nation to wake up to a BIG Breakfast, which not only helps everyone who takes part have a brighter day but also helps raise vital funds for sick children across the UK.

Since 2003 over 600,000 people have supported Wallace & Gromit's Children’s Foundation, helping children in over 58 children’s hospitals and hospices across the UK.

The fundraising event hopes to raise over £50,000 and is kindly supported by Foresters.

Healthy families need a healthy breakfast. Foresters champions the well-being of families through quality life insurance, unique member benefits and inspiring community activities.

In supporting the BIG Breakfast our hope is to encourage lots of families to have a fun together, sharing healthy family time over breakfast and raise much-needed funds for Wallace & Gromit's Children's Foundation.

Wallace & Gromit's Children's Foundation

Wallace and Gromit's Children's Foundation is a national charity which raises funds to help improve the quality of life for sick children in hospitals and hospices across the UK.

Created in 2003, it is the only national charity to receive the backing of the treble Academy Award-winning characters Wallace & Gromit, created by Nick Park at Aardman, who is also a trustee of the Children's Foundation.

Wallace & Gromit's BIG Breakfast is a brand new annual event hosted by the Foundation with Foresters, Robert Wiseman and Yorkshire Tea. It will be held between the 20th and 27th April 2012, when people across the UK are invited to host or take part in a BIG Breakfast in their area and make a donation to the charity.

The Foundation also hosts an annual Great British Tea Party with Yorkshire Tea which won Cause Related Marketing Campaign of the Year at the Marketing Week Awards 2010.

The Foundation also organises the popular annual fundraiser Wallace & Gromit’s Wrong Trousers Day, which has raised over £1 million since 2003 by encouraging people to pay one pound and step out in wacky leg wear or just something 'wrong.'

The charity works with an established network of children's hospitals and hospices to provide the very best comforts and facilities available and to ensure children in hospital and hospices have a better, brighter future. By funding an innovative range of projects, the charity is able to enrich and enhance the lives of patients in regional centers throughout the country.

Funds raised support projects and causes in local communities such as music therapy, arts programmes, family accommodation facilities and child-friendly environments, state-of-the-art medical equipment, education and information programmes and hospice care.
