The Perfect Three Days for All The Family
From Sunday 25th to Tuesday 27th August 2013 there is something for all the family at Epsom Downs.
On Sunday 25th August the top training establishments in Epsom Downs will open their doors to the public to give everyone the chance to see behind the scenes of the racing industry that fascinates so many.
Members of the public can get up close to the stars of the track, their trainers and their stable staff and learn how things work in the different yards.
The day commences at 9am when the racehorses will be exercising on the gallops, and trainers and vets will be on hand to answer any questions that you and your family may have.
Yards will open between 10am and 1pm. Tickets for the Epsom Racehorse Trainer's Open Day on Sunday 25th August can be purchased on the day.
On Bank Holiday Monday 26th August, an action packed afternoon of racing and entertainment for the young and old alike will take place.
The racecourse will be filled with free entertainment including pony rides, a petting zoo, bouncy castle, a carousel, face painting, hot shoeing demonstrations, trade stands and plenty more.
The popular children's running races will also take place on the day with races for under 5's, 7's and 9's with great prizes to be won. Entries into the children's races can be made on the Prince's Lawn on the day between 12pm and 2pm on a first come first served basis, and will be limited to 50 children per age group, so enter early to avoid disappointment.
The races will take place after the 2nd, 3rd and 4th races (parents or guardians are required to be present when children enter).
Adult tickets to the Family Fun Day on Monday 26th are priced at £18 if booked in advance (£20 on the day) and under 18's get in free.
If you present your Epsom Racehorse Trainer's Open Day wristband on Monday 26th, you will receive £5 discount off general admission on the day.
Epsom are inviting racegoers back to enjoy a free afternoon of racing on Tuesday 27th August, so why not extend the Bank Holiday weekend.
