Love Wine?
An exciting new collaboration between Bristol’s favourite food festival, 'Love Food', and 'Angela Mount Wine' launches on November 27th 2011 at Paintworks.
The much anticipated event will provide wine lovers in the South West with the opportunity to enjoy trying and learning about some superb wines and foods.
Angela has a refreshingly down to earth and no-nonsense approach to wine and is passionate about helping wine drinkers discover a little more about wine, and debunk a lot of myths!
She is a frequent presenter on radio and at live food and wine shows and has become known for her knack of pairing just the right wine with the right food, having worked alongside celebrity chefs such as Gordon Ramsay and James Martin on the Good Food Show.
Wine is to be enjoyed and appreciated...you don't need to overcomplicate it, just follow a few simple guidelines, take the risk and explore something new, and most important of all... ENJOY!
Angela Mount
Angela's knowledge and enthusiasm for wine, along with Love Food's unique and friendly atmosphere will create the perfect recipe for people to enjoy learning about wine without feeling shy or intimidated.
The aim of the event is to educate and inspire festival goers with some fantastic, sustainable and affordable wines, with free workshops on how to navigate yourself around a wine list through to more in-depth master-classes on food and wine matching.
Love Wine will bring together over 30 wine producers and merchants showcasing some fantastic English, organic, and natural wines, along with some superb local eateries such as 'Source', Bell's Diner, 'Sams Kitchen Deli' who will be serving sample portions of their signature dishes to match some of the great wines on offer.
There'll also be some great local ciders and ales at the event as well as some delicious wine loving foods such as charcuterie, olives and cheese.
Oyster lover extraordinaire Katy Davidson of 'Mangez Moi Oysters' will also be on hand shucking some of Rocks finest molluscs and matching them with some great English sparkling wines. Hugo of 'Mister Truffle' will also be on hand to indulge and inspire you with these earthy treasures.
All this combined with Love Foods famous laid back atmosphere and music, set in the superb event space at Paintworks and in perfect time for festive wine buying, Love Wine has all the ingredients to be a very good day out indeed.
I'm really excited about Love Wine, it's going to be a really fun event aimed at removing some of the fear around choosing a good wine. Lists can be quite a minefield but armed with some basic knowledge on how to choose, match, and appreciate good sustainable wine, choosing wine can be thoroughly enjoyable.
