CarFest returned to its spiritual home of Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire over the exceptionally wet and wild August Bank Holiday Weekend (28th-30th August) for the second of this year's two sell-out family festivals. As tradition now dictates, CarFest South again combined the magical worlds of eye-catching cars, pulsating live music and mouth-watering food with heaps and heaps of fabulous fun for all the family… and, this time, with some typical festival mud thrown in, following all the recent torrential rain in southern England.
Launching on Wednesday 9th September, The Capital Afternoon Tea aims to revive traditional British favourites including the Victoria sponge, Bakewell tart and crumpets - all baked by the Michelin-starred team behind Outlaw's at The Capital. In the spirit of The Great British Bake Off, London's favourite family-owned and family-run hotel in the heart of Knightsbridge, is taking tea back to its roots, to the genuine English experience it once was.
Join ellenor and sit down and tuck in to 'Family Feast Day' with your family and friends on Wednesday 16th September. Family Feast Day is a new ellenor fundraising campaign to raise money to help families facing terminal illness. Graham Perolls founded the Ellenor Foundation in 1985, inspired by a vision that those facing the end of life should have only the best care possible either at home, or as close to it as possible.
There is nothing quite like a well brewed cup of tea to set the world to rights - a time honoured tradition that saw kettles up and down the country set to boil in time for a well deserved afternoon tea. A break from the steam of the afternoon, a hot cuppa to set you up for the rest of the day and a moment of leisure to be enjoyed with a biscuit or slice of cake.
