Winning Derby Jockey Swaps Reins for Strings

2011 Investec Derby winning jockey, Mickael Barzalona promotes The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, who will be playing at Epsom Downs Racecourse on Thursday 2nd August, after an evening of racing.

The climax of the evening will be a fantastic Last Night of the Proms finale (Rule Britannia, the Sailors' Hornpipe, Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory), with plenty of chances for everyone to join in with the singing and flag-waving fun!

In the run up to the finale - through-out the evening - the Epsom Downs audience will be taken through an exciting classical extravaganza of all-time favourites, including: Rossini's galloping William Tell Overture, the majestic 'Polonaise' from Eugene Onegin, the dramatic 'In the Hall of the Mountain King' from Grieg’s Peer Gynt and the Mozart's ever popular Marriage of Figaro Overture - plus well-loved operatic love arias, duets and excerpts from La Traviata, Carmen, Tosca, Turandot ('Nessun Dorma') and Gianni Schicchi ('O mio babbino caro').

The Queen's Stand and Duchess's Stand are open as one enclosure for Epsom Live! with tickets costing £22.50 if booked in advance which includes both the racing and live concert. Group bookings of 12 or more receive a 20% discount.
