The Oxted Picnic Returns to Master Park for 2016

The Oxted Picnic is back for a second year at Master Park, Oxted on Sunday 21st August 2016. Free entry to the event from 11am - 6pm for a day of family fun, food, music and the Oxted Dog Show.

"After quite literally storming our way through the day in 2015, the Oxted Picnic is back for a second year, taking place at the centrally located Master Park, Oxted on 21st August 2016.

Created to bring together the residents of Oxted and the surrounding areas for a day of family fun and relaxation in Master Park, the Picnic now co-hosts with the Oxted Dog Show in association with the Oxted branch of Medivet. From 11am - 6pm visitors can take their time to browse, eat, drink and relax, and listen to some local live music. With the Oxted Dog Show, supported by Hazelwood School, and a great selection of games and activities, sponsored by Howard Cundey, there should be plenty to occupy all ages.

The Oxted Dog Show will feature as a central part of this year’s event, with OLRG Councillor Jackie Wren and the current Miss Surrey Sophie King joining local vet Paul Grant as class judges. We invite everyone to join us for this FREE ENTRY event, to bring their family and friends, to pack a blanket and enjoy all the day has to offer, which includes a varied selection of quality food & drink producers and independent local businesses.

Our chosen charities for 2016 are the Wilderness Foundation ‘Save the Rhino’ Campaign and Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, who will both benefit from the proceeds of activities on the day. So put the date in your diary, come along and support two great charities, while having a fun filled day out for all the family. The sun is on pre-order for the 21st and with a bit of luck it will arrive in time this year!"

This not-for-profit event will also host a charity raffle set to encourage visitors back to the high street in the surrounding areas and town, with donated prizes from local businesses. It is a great way to raise the profile and awareness of business in the area while raising money for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, as well as The Wilderness Foundation's Save the Rhino campaign.
