Life's A Beach with Pembrokeshire Fish Week
Come and enjoy the great outdoors in Pembrokeshire Fish Week! There are lots of great activities on the cliffs, seashore and out at sea.
Love walking? Enjoy a two-hour circular guided walk around Little Haven beach and its surrounding coastline, organised by Discovery Walks of Pembrokeshire, followed by a freshly prepared fish lunch at the St Brides Inn.
Soak up some late sunshine in a guided evening three-mile walk around Abereiddi or Broad Haven beach with Walkalongway, followed by a mackerel barbecue on your return.
Or discover the birds, wildflowers, and history of Skomer Island in ‘An Island paradise’ - a guided walk with Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
If you fancy something more adventurous, there’s coasteering with Celtic Quest – scramble along the rocks and test your nerve on the big cliff jumps!
Or why try coasteering and foraging with Preseli Venture, whose expert guides will introduce you to the rich variety of edibles along the coast.
For those who enjoy kayaking, why not join a trip with TYF, who will be combining kayaking with mackerel fishing, ending the day with a delicious fishy barbecue back at base.
You can also try a spot of kayaking and fishing with the Sea Kayak Guide - pull up on a local beach to cook your catch!
There’s also a great marine family day at Broad Haven (north) beach – with rock pooling, beach combing, and Pembrokeshire Adventure Centre offering sit-on-top kayak taster sessions.
Pembrokeshire’s spectacular marine wildlife will be showcased in a special ‘Wild, Wet and Wobbly’ evening hosted by five expert speakers at Pembrokeshire College on 30th June
The talks will be accompanied by colourful photography and video footage. The speakers are Judith Oakley, Lyndon Lomax, Lou Luddington, Malcolm Barradell and Victoria Hobson.
Pembrokeshire Fish Week is organised by Pembrokeshire County Council and part funded through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013, which is financed by the EU and the Welsh Assembly Government.
