As part of a six-week celebration of food and wine the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has partnered with four of London's finest Chinese restaurants to offer foodies the chance to sample sumptuous Chinese cuisine and cookery school 'School of Wok' for a lesson in creating your own special dishes.

Wine connoisseurs should sample the wine pairing menu at Ming Jiang - savour the delights of Champagne Théophile or Pinot Noir and tempt your taste buds with the Steamed Dim Sum Platter or Legendary Wood Fired Beijing Duck cultivated by the legendary Chef BenKim Sing Kiew. Prices start from just £100 per person, based on two people sharing.

Grand Imperial London will also cook up a storm with the Wasabi Prawn and Scallop with Golden Thread, paired with Laurent-Perrier Brut, Champagne, NV and Pan-Fried Black Cod with Light Soy Sauce. Restaurant lovers can enjoy this meal from just £80 per person with matching wine by the glass. Menu costs £48 per person without wine, based on two people sharing.

As the world welcomes the Year of the Snake in February, China Tang at the Dorchester has put together a special menu to honour the celebrations. Signature dishes include Ying Yang Prawn Balls, Snake Soup with Fish Maw and Sichuan Style Green Beans. Prices start from just £100 per person, including Beijing Bostock and tea or coffee.

Royal China Club, Baker Street is also celebrating Chinese New Year with a Traditional Chinese New Year Feast in a Pot at £63 per person which includes different layers of meat, seafood and vegetables, all slow cooked in a traditional clay pot. And for those trying to keep the calories low this year a New Year's Tossed Salad is also available.

After sampling some of the best Chinese delights in London, budding chefs who want to recreate some traditional Chinese dishes should take a class at School of Wok in the heart of Covent Garden. Special classes for Chinese New Year include Flavours of China & Wine Tasting, Valentines Couples Dim Sum Cook, Wine & Dine and the Valentines Quick Fire Dating Special.
