General Silliness Productions presents A Servant to Two Masters

This year during the Edinburgh Fringe at The Space on the Mile you can catch the General Silliness Productions new adaptation of ‘A Servant to Two Masters’ by Carlo Goldoni.

Running from the 3rd to11th August at 12:30pm this performance, based on the same classic play as the very successful National Theatre production, One Man Two Guvnors, A Servant to Two Masters goes back to its 18th Century Venetian roots.

Extreme masked caricatures, slapstick, acrobatics, comic timing, ukulele interludes and a little bawdy humour make this an unforgettable tale of mistaken identity and love.

General Silliness Productions is an independent student theatre company with a passion for entertaining. They specialise in physical theatre comedy and are trained in the traditional Commedia Dell'Arte style. They have had two successful years at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Goldoni's script was one of the first fully written scripts of Commedia Dell'Arte.

Through improvisation, ensemble writing and play, they have revivified this script for a modern audience, bringing their favourite elements of the traditional Italian Comedy together with their own brand of Horrible Histories and Monty Python-inspired humour.

Together, this has made this piece their own - suitable for all ages - and in their humble view, it's simply not to be missed!
