Chopping and Slicing the Kitchen Devils Way

Chopping and Slicing the Kitchen Devils Way

When Kitchen Devils sent us their new Asian Cook's Knife to review, we were really just expecting another ordinary knife.

AND we have a kitchen full of ordinary knives; most far from sharp and never used bar a few old favourites that we use for everything - from peeling to slicing, chopping and dicing.

So when the Asian's Cook Knife arrived we were curious as to what differences this knife could have to offer...

We have to say - we were pleasantly surprised.

The Kitchen Devils Asian Cook's Knife has a Santuko style blade. This makes it quite a substantial looking knife and immediately gives an air of 'professionalism' to the look of our kitchen worktop.Cm Kitchen Devil

But could we use it like a real pro?

We set to work on the humble onion, one of the most common vegetables we get frustrated with in our kitchen. Some people can chop and dice them with ease - we tend to chase them around the chopping board before we hack them to bits!

As well as looking the part, the Asian Chef's knife, with its soft grip handle, is exceptionally comfortable to hold and is perfectly balanced for chopping and slicing.

Kitchen Devils Asian Cook's Knife has the most wonderful slight curve to the blade that allows for a simple 'rocking' motion to be adopted, which makes chopping an easy task.

Made from high quality Japanese steel, the sharp blade makes slicing and dicing effortless, while the style allows the knife point to stay in close contact with the chopping board.

With a large finger stop incorporated into the design we felt confident that we could use this knife without slipping our fingers into the blade end.

In no time, we fell into a rhythm and we were chopping like a real chefs!

The knife made short work of slicing and dicing ready for a stir-fry and the amount of control the style affords is second to none.

An Asian Cook's Knife will make wonderful addition to any knife collection for mincing garlic, chopping and dicing fruit and vegetables as well as slicing meat and fish.

We have replaced our 'multi-purpose' knife in the block with the Kitchen Devils Asian Cook's knife AND have no plans to change it, although we may now be tempted to add further knives to our collection from the Kitchen Devils range.

Renowned for their quality and value for money, Kitchen Devils knives also come with a reassuring 15 year guarantee.

They are lightweight, ergonomically shaped and their 'award-winning' soft-grip handles mean they comfortable to use. Kitchen Devils Logo

The Asian Cook's knife is dishwasher safe, although it is advisable to remove and dry it carefully as soon as the wash is complete to maintain good condition.

The Kitchen Devils Large Asian Cooks Knife is £11.49* and the new Small Asian Cooks Knife is £9.99*
