The most traditional of English jam makers, Wilkin & Sons Ltd., have been producing their luxury conserves since 1885.
The Wilkin family have grown fruit at Tiptree since 1757.
The company now farms over 1000 acres and uses the fruit grown on the estate in a huge variety of premium products.
The company’s quality range includes jam, jelly, marmalade, honey, curd and tea alongside a full savoury product selection, sauces and Christmas puddings.
As stipulated back in 1885 by founder Arthur Charles Wilkin, all products are of the finest possible quality and free from any artificial preservatives, additives or colourings. This commitment to quality is as strong today as it was at the beginning, the great-grandson of the founder, Peter Wilkin makes sure of that as he is still at the reins of the family business.
Tradition is important at Wilkin & Sons so you won’t be surprised to find traditional English fruits such as Greengage, Medlar & Quince on their product list.
The range also includes more unusual flavours such as; Pineapple, Ginger and Green Fig to name but a few. The favourite however has to be Tiptree’s signature Little Scarlet Strawberry Conserve; each jar is lovingly made with over 60 whole tiny, intensely sweet and incredibly rare ‘Little Scarlet’ Strawberries.
