Pistachio Rose - A Boutique Bakery for Indian Inspired Cakes

Pistachio Rose - A Boutique Bakery for Indian Inspired Cakes

Pistachio Rose creates sweets and desserts infused with sweet Indian flavours.

Hmm, what does that actually mean? I hear you ask.

Imagine a warm, fluffy naan...now cover it in chocolate and pistachios, and let it melt into your imagination with a cup of tea of coffee.

It's simply a chocolate brioche from a different continent!

There's a selection of infused chocolate tarts including dark chocolate tart and chai - a spiced Indian tea - as well as cakes including the signature flavour of Pistachio, Rose and Cardamom.

You can find Pistachio Rose on sale in the prestigious Fortnum & Mason as well as various food markets across London - check the website for latest details.

Pistachio Rose also cater for events and occasions including birthdays, all wedding celebrations including engagements and receptions - and any other reason you have to celebrate!

Finally Pistachio Rose is starting a series of High Chai experiences - an Indian Tea banquet where you can sit in British Raj splendour whilst savouring the fusion delicacies.

Here's a few words from the creator, Rekha. Pistachio Rose

My childhood was spent surrounded with flavours from the Indian continent as well as the English homeland and I developed a love for sweets and desserts from a very early age. Memories of creamy rice pudding flavoured with cardamom and topped with crushed pistachios, warming vermicelli pudding with cinnamon and mace, or English custard flavoured with nutmeg and almonds swoon around me.

My absolute favourite dessert to this day is Gulab Jamun - a soft cardamom sponge, soaked in rose syrup and topped with crushed pistachios. For me, losing myself in a sea of sugary-spiced heaven is no problem at all but for many people, Indian sweets and desserts are a little heavy and a little too sweet!

I created Pistachio Rose Baking Boutique because I wanted to show that Indian flavours are delicate at heart and with careful balance, can create the most elegant cakes, light and airy biscuits and crumbling pastries. So come on our journey, through taste, to an afternoon tea banquet from the British-Raj era that combines the quintessential elements of these two fine cultures.
