Glorious Revolution® English White Rum launched at UK RUMFEST
English Micro-Distillery, Spirit Masters, launched Glorious Revolution English white rum at RUMFEST UK, London October 2014. It is believed to be the first English produced white rum.
Glorious Revolution English White Rum - because Spirit Masters aim to start a Glorious Revolution of new drinks, with a difference that cannot be found elsewhere.
On the palate, Glorious Revolution is smooth, light and fruity with tropical notes, balanced with an intriguing molasses and demerara sugar finish - giving a very new taste experience for a white rum. 
There are many critical factors in producing Glorious Revolution, which have been developed with fastidious research and experimentation. Sourcing high quality molasses was vital, as was getting the right yeast so that the fermentation step is slow and long, allowing Glorious Revolution to develop a more complex flavour.
Even the distillation process has personal touches. Spirit Masters took a traditional copper pot still, as copper helps purify the end product, to this they added 'lentils', special copper plates made for the top to fractionate the alcohol into much higher levels of purity than you would normally get from a pot still. In addition Spirit Masters had a custom heating device developed to allow the still to be electronically heated with pin-point precision; the temperature can be controlled to within 1 degree Celsius. Such precision helps Spirit Masters separate out the fractions carefully, so they can tailor Glorious Revolution to give its distinctive range of flavours.
Spirit Masters are also looking to bring an aged rum to the market, but the ageing process will be something new and they are very excited by the idea. They also have a lot of ideas for other new rums and approaches which will excite the palate,.
