The Longines Royal International Horse Show, 27-31 July 2011
Some of the best riders in the world will be heading to Hickstead in West Sussex in July for the Longines Royal International Horse Show. As one of the oldest horse shows in the world, this fixture is steeped in history and prestige.
It features the very best of showjumping and showing, including the only FEI Nations Cup to be held each year in Britain.
There’s also the King George V Gold Cup and the Queen Elizabeth II Cup, two of the most renowned and longest running classes in showjumping’s calendar. And don’t forget ladies day on Saturday 30th July, where the most elegant and fashionable are rewarded with the chance to win fantastic prizes!
Hickstead has always been synonymous with showjumping, but there is lots more on offer besides top-class action over coloured poles.
Showing classes are a major feature of the show, with every showing rider hoping to qualify for - and win at - the Longines Royal International Horse Show. With the popular Eventing Grand Prix, driving classes and much more besides, this show continues to enthral and inspire more than a century after its inception.
