Cranberry Spiced Porridge

A lovely warming breakfast, ideal for those cold winter starts to the day. Try out some of the great recipes available from Farmhouse Breakfast Week

Prep time: 2 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes
Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 100g rolled oats
  • 50g dried cranberries
  • ΒΌ tsp mixed spice
  • 2 tbsp cranberry sauce

Procedure

  • Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to the boil.
  • Simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  • Serve with a tsp of cranberry sauce and a sprinkling of mixed spice.

Alternatives:

Use frozen whole cranberries with 2 tbsp sugar instead of the dried
cranberries and cranberry sauce.
