A Shed Like No Other
As more and more people are choosing to work from home, there has been an increase in the need to have 'office space' within the home.
Some people may have the luxury of converting a room in their house to facilitate this, however, others may not and will look at alternative solutions, such as a garden office/pod.
These have become increasingly popular in the last few years, but many of them are standard cuboid offices that don't have much character.
For a garden office which breaks the mould, look no further than the Tetra Shed garden office - it is a stylish and contemporary alternative to any currently available on the market.
Tetra Shed will be on show from the 5th - 13th May at Grand Designs Live London sponsored by Direct Line, in the Grand Gardens section.
To see how the Tetra Shed modular system works, three sheds will be linked together to showcase a large guest room; visitors will be able to see and explore this in the Grand Village.
Designed by architects Innovation Imperative, Tetra Shed is also a response to another growing trend, that of the increasing acceptance and adoption of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), namely modular construction as the most viable means of meeting more stringent performance targets to tighter project time and cost constraints more apparent in larger developments.
Constructed from eco-friendly engineered timber, externally clad with matt black rubber and internally lined with birch faced plywood, the striking single garden offices start at around £15,000 and double garden offices from around £25,000.
Designed to exceed the Building Regulations, Tetra Shed is suitable for permanent year-round use.
For those less keen on the 'Darth-Vader' aesthetic, other rubber cladding colours are available finished in any RAL colour, as are timber options such as marine plywood and oak and metal options such as zinc and copper.
A host of enticing furniture and fitting optional extras allows each owner to customise their Tetra Shed to best suit their needs.
The single garden office has a footprint of around just 10m² and internal floor area of around 8m², which can comfortably accommodate 2 people.
The Tetra Shed modular building system provides an innovative yet practical, adaptable, customisable, expandable and affordable building system suitable for a host of uses.
We wanted to create a modern, elegant and practical cost comparative alternative to the ubiquitous cuboid garden offices and modular building systems on the market. Clusters of up to six modules have primarily been designed as additional work, rest and play space for homes.
Larger tessellations can be used for a range of applications such as classrooms, exhibition space, corporate events, tourism & leisure facilities and retail space and the individual module cost reduces significantly with an increase in the number of modules within the cluster.
