With the aid of a golf trolley and the attachment of unique and elegantly furnished stackable compartments, the Gourmet Trotter was conceived.
After help from an innovative company to create the finished design, Clare Lower, the founder of the Gourmet Trotter took her vision to Hong Kong and met with a Chinese manufacturer who was prepared to take on the production challenge.
Countless sourcing fairs were visited both here and abroad in order to find the quintessential English country dining accessories to complete the image Clare was endeavouring to achieve.
With the facility to cater for four persons, this luxury item developed for fine al fresco dining is far from any product ever seen on the market to date.
By use of an original concept using magnets, the Gourmet Trotter separates into three component units.
One is designed to specifically carry the fine china plates, double walled glass wine goblets and water glasses with Languiole style cutlery.
A second case has sleek and stylish storage containers with removable cheese/chopping board and pure linen napkins, while a third is equipped to carry your own selection of refreshments.
The Gourmet Trotter combines the elegance we aspire to, at our beautiful summer events, with the portability required to make such splendid outings practical and enjoyable.
The portability comes from a new and innovative use of the existing golf trolley owned by so many of us in the UK today. An ideal lightweight and compact trolley is included in the price and a luxury pure wool blanket with leather straps, to compliment the trim on the Trotters compartments, can also be purchased separately.
Gone are the days of lugging the impossibly importable wicker hamper.
