All I Want for Christmas is a Nutribullet

All I Want for Christmas is a Nutribullet

It's that festive time of year again, when trying to find a perfect Christmas present is essential. So what do you get your gym going, health conscious friend or family member, who really cares about their diet or weight?

Or for those who are looking to start the New Year with a healthier approach to their eating habit, weight loss and fitness levels?

Nutribullet is the latest must-have gadget - the Superfood Nutrition Extractor - and we think it will be one present they will not want to return.

With a variety of tried and tested blenders and juicers already on the market, what makes the Nutribullet one of the most talked about products currently available?

"The Nutribullet has become a great addition to my kitchen and has been in action every day since it arrived. It takes up less space than the regular kitchen appliances due to its simple and compact design. Its simplicity does not, however, mean it lacks in the power stakes. Making the drinks are incredibly easy; load up the cup with your fresh ingredients, screw on the blades and place on the base with a twist to begin blending everything together. No need for on switches or variable power options.

Along with easy preparation, cleaning is no problem. Everything just rinses off. With the unit, accessories include lids, which make taking drinks on the go possible. What's more, one of my drinks kept in the fridge the six hours between blending it and drinking it for lunch with no alteration to colour or taste. Also included are rims, meaning you can go from blending to drinking without transferring to another cup, and a milling blade, meaning you can turn nuts into ground nuts for a smoother finish to your drinks.

The literature which accompanies the Nutribullet is incredibly informative as to what foods are good for various areas of health and is packed with recipes to make the most of those ingredients. The book also includes a 6 week "Transformation Diet" designed to get you to change the way you eat to better optimise your health and is broken down into three stages, so as not to overwhelm the dieter.

The book encourages the user to mix and match their own blends. As long as you remember to include 50% leafy greens and 50% fruit (plus topping it off with seeds and nuts), you can create any flavour combination you desire. I definitely have grown more confident in experimenting with flavours since my first use.

The Nutribullet is quite noisy, despite being billed as very quiet, however this is not a problem due to its ability to blitz ingredients into drinks incredibly quickly.

The Nutribullet has aided me over the past week to eat foods I normally wouldn't touch. Spinach and avocado are not foods I enjoy, however they are the base of most of my drinks. I have consumed more leafy greens in a few days than I have over the past few years. As it's so quick and easy to use, I haven't felt as though I can't be bothered with the effort of making something I know is good for me. I may very well be using the Nutribullet every day for the foreseeable future, especially considering the blends can taste really good.
