The Pick of the Crop
Spanning four continents and grown in over 80 countries, Kopi coffee is farmed and selected from anywhere between award - winning single estates to simple small co-operative farms - depending on whereabouts on the globe the pick of the crop is that season.
Having procured the beans they are then sent off to a boutique roaster who uses a traditional convection drum, in which they are roasted to perfection in what is a highly delicate process.

Kopi are unwavering in their commitment to paying their first-class growers premium prices for their quality coffee, far over the Fairtrade minimum or production costs. 
While the Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance and Soil Association initiatives have Kopi's full support, some of their coffee isn't necessarily organic or Fairtrade certified and here are the reasons:
- Fairtrade exclusively certify co-operative growers, excluding many outstanding smaller farms preferring to sell directly to suppliers. This means that lots of excellent small family plantations would lose out on business were Kopi to only trade with Fairtrade stamped ones.
- Fairtrade is bound to the commodity price in order to ensure a minimum rate for the farmers. As of October 2011 the market price has been firmly above the Fairtrade minimum.
- Kopi constantly endeavour to maintain a mutually beneficial partnership with the farmers in order to develop and uphold an ethical and profitable business model for all.

Once the beans have been carefully selected, 100-250g of gourmet single-estate coffee is then lovingly wrapped and promptly delivered fresh to your door within 10 days of being roasted.
