Award Winning Rare Breed Chorizo from the Three Little Pigs

When Charlotte Clarkson decided to send us a sample of last year's 2* winning rare Breed Chorizo little did she know that we have a chorizo lover on our team, who is absolutely passionate about the sausage.

So with this is mind we peeled back the skin, thickly sliced the chorizo and waited for his reaction to this exciting new sample.

If quality could be measured in a smile then the Rare Breeds Chorizo with La Vera Smoked Pimenton from The Three Little Pigs just won gold with our IT manager.Threelittlepigs

Personally, I have never really taken to chorizo. It has always seemed a little hard, a little processed and not quite right on flavour, yet our IT manager would eat it with every meal, given the chance.

Well, thanks to The Three Little Pigs, I can now say my opinion has completely changed and last night we enjoyed a chorizo and goat's cheese salad that was full of flavour without a hint of gristle or plastic after-taste.

Made in Yorkshire using only the best carefully selected pork, the Three Little Pigs is minced more finely than the European varieties so it doesn't have those chewy bits that we don't really like. A simple solution for a perfect result!

Three Little Pigs English Chorizo is inspired by the Spanish style of air dried sausage but with a definite East Yorkshire accent.

Succulent free range rare breed Berkshire Pork is combined with the finest Spanish La Vera Smoked Pimenton, and selected herbs and spices, prepared with passion and tied by hand to horseshoe shaped sausages.

These are dried under carefully controlled conditions to produce a ready to eat chorizo for cooking and for snacking.

I have to admit, these are the hardest reviews to write. There are only so many ways that you can say something is fabulous - so don't take our word for it, order some and try it yourself - and we would love to hear from you if you do.

The Clarkson family have created probably the best chorizo we have tasted to date and we are looking forward to exploring the rest of their range.
