Looking for a Different View Around the UK

A series of frames are popping up around the UK this autumn to encourage people to take a moment to appreciate, and capture, a different view of something familiar.

Placed in 20 locations around central London, Chester, Birmingham, Weymouth, Canterbury and Southampton, the specially designed frames all capture a sight that allows passers-by to see a different perspective of a popular area.

Celebrating 'A Different View', the frames are part of a campaign by holiday company Celebrity Cruises to encourage people to stop for a moment, and share their different perspective.

Budding photographers and those with a keen eye for spotting an amazing view have the chance to win a series of prizes - ranging from exclusive experiences with Celebrity Cruises' ambassadors, such as Oz Clarke and Great British Chefs, to a luxury cruise holiday - by snapping a photo through any one of the frames.

Frame locations have been chosen by photography and travel experts and Celebrity Cruises' ambassadors such as renowned bloggers, instagrammers, TV presenters and top chefs.

The frames - each individually designed to reflect features of the Celebrity Cruises experience - all capture a sight that allows a different composition or perspective of a popular area.

Locations include views of iconic landmarks such as Tower Bridge, the V&A museum and Chelsea’s famous Albert Bridge in London, as well as Ocean Village in Southampton and Brindley Place in Birmingham.

Frame materials are all based on objects or experiences found on-board Celebrity Cruises' ships. They include canvas from cabanas on the top deck, turf to represent the expansive real grass lawn found at sea, Persian tiles from spa steam rooms, decking, and even a material that represents the ice surface found in the on-board Martini bar.

Appearing across the country from Saturday 14th November 2015, the frames encourage passers-by to take a moment to soak up the view and share their photograph. Using the hashtag #ADifferentView the images will be entered into a contest to celebrate the best unique perspectives of popular views.

The frames located throughout the UK are in celebration of a new brand film from Celebrity Cruises also capturing the theme of 'a different view'. Featuring fresh, vibrant content that showcases how a cruise and the destinations are intrinsically linked, the footage presents a new take on cruising.
