Mixing It Up in a Molecular Fashion at Vine Street Studios

Mixing It Up in a Molecular Fashion at Vine Street Studios

Our VisitBrighton journey last month would not have been complete without somewhere central to stay, and there is nothing better than actually finding somewhere big enough to accommodate all your family and friends when you want to have a great break away.Vine Street Studios

Vine Street Studios offer ample accommodation for up to 16 people with their retro loft conversion. And when the party comes to you in the form of a mixology class, it is the icing on the cake.

Myles Cunliffe, director of the Mixology Group stopped by to treat us to our own private Molecular Mixology class and we certainly discovered a thing or two about what we were drinking!

The accommodation at Vine Street Studios includes a huge living space, four double bedrooms and a self-contained annex, designed to embrace the space - open and informal yet cosy enough to make you feel right at home.

The large living area is divided with sofas and seating, creating the impression of warmth and togetherness without suffocation. By leaving the loft predominately open it enhances the available space and comfortably allows for more people to occupy the area without the feel of being overcrowded.

Four spacious double bedrooms set along the upper level offer ample sleeping arrangements, with baths available in half the rooms. Vine Street StudiosPop along to the far landing end to discover a separate stairway to the additional self contained annex area, sporting its own shower room and kitchen facilities.

With three toilet/shower rooms in total there is enough space for up to sixteen people to share this loft area, making it the ideal place to stay for a weekend away.

Situated close the South Lanes and in North Laine, the studios are just a short walk from the beach, pier and plethora of eateries that Brighton has to offer. You would be hard pressed to find accommodation of this level for around £100 per person (based on two nights and 10 people sharing).

The property can comfortably accommodate groups of ten, yet in the event of a larger group booking the living area offers plenty of roll-out and sofa beds. If you are getting married and need somewhere for all your family and friends to stay, where they can still be close together and prepare themselves for your special day, Vine Street Studios could offer the simplest solution to your already busy schedule.

We enjoyed two nights at the studios and on our second night we were introduced to the world of molecular mixology at the hands of Myles Cunliffe. Mixology GroupBringing along his own portable bar to use, Myles set out to create a variety of cocktails, each with their own take on a classic.

With over 16 years of experience in the industry, Mixology Group know a thing or two about making great drinks. We learned how to make a selection of cocktails; including a Margarita - complete with 'salt air' to replace the less desirable salt ring usually found on the glass.

We were wowed with the dry ice and impressed with the 'Heston' twist on regular mixes, used to create something altogether worthy of admiration and further discussion.

The 'down-side' of this is of course the fact that we had to do a lot of drinking... a challenge to which we rose in true professional style.

If you would like to have your own personal show or want bring a bit of molecular mixing to your party visit www.mixologygroup.co.uk to discover more. See what happened during our class by taking a look at our Flickr Photos.
