Oaty Cranberry Smoothie
Farmhouse Breakfast Week returns for a 13th year from 22 - 28 January 2012.
Organisers HGCA are challenging breakfast skippers to Shake Up Their Wake Up and make time for breakfast.
If you prefer to start the day on a cup of coffee or tea and think you couldn't face a solid breakfast then try this energy releasing smoothie instead.
Prep time: 5 minutes + soaking. Serves 1
Ingredients
- 25g rolled oats
- 25g dried cranberries
- 1 tbsp clear honey
- 150ml cranberry juice
- 150g natural yoghurt
Procedure
- Place oats, cranberries, honey and cranberry juice in a small jug and allow to soak, ideally overnight.
- Add the yoghurt and blend with a hand held blender or liquidiser until smooth and thick.
- Pour into a glass and serve.
