Swedish Rock Band BONEFISH Release their Debut Album - Live Dates in Stockholm, London, Monmouth and Brussels
Stockholm-based rock band Bonefish release their debut album on 18th April 2013. The self-titled album is largely influenced by Americana/alternative rock and all songs have been written by frontman/singer/guitarist Bie Karlsson, who was the singer, guitarist and song-writer for Top 10 Swedish band Docenterna.
The album was recorded last year at the internationally renowned Decibel Studios in Stockholm. Bie Karlsson co-produced the album with sound engineer Dag Lundquist (The Hives, Caesars, Ulf Lundell, Thåström).
The album was mixed by Jonas Nordelius (Veronica Maggio, Petter, Oskar Linnros and Maskinen).
Bonefish was formed three years ago. We're a group of guys who love playing together and that inspired me to write some new songs, twelve of which made it on to the new album. I am very proud of this album and we've had a great response so far. The album was mastered at Sterling-Sound studio in New York. Tom Coyne, who has worked with international superstars such as Adele, D'Angelo and Robyn, wrote to us and praised the album. That made me very happy and I see that as proof that we've made an album that will last.
Last year we received an invitation to play in Wales and we thought it would be fun to do a couple more gigs internationally around the same time. We are excited to be playing in the UK and Belgium and we are particularly look forward to playing in London. The Bul's Head in Barnes is located in an area where many Swedish people live. We're planning to perform some of our own songs as well as some well-known covers, both in English and in Swedish. Some of the amazing guest performers who play on the album will be joining us on stage at The Bull's Head.

Bonefish is influenced by artists such as Dinosaur Jr., Arcade Fire, Queens of the Stone Age and T Bone Burnett. Bonefish's music is a unique mix of strong and intense songs, performed by Scandinavian musicians, with multi-layered lyrics inspired by the best of American lyricists.
The album features some of the best Swedish session players around, including Max Lorentz (ABBA’s Agnetha Fältskog, Mikael Rickfors, Mårran) on organ, keyboards and backing vocals; and horn arrangements by Fredrik Oscarsson (Ulf Lundell and Anna Ternheim). Renowned singers, sisters Greta and Mija Folkesson (Eric Gadd, Eva Dahlgren, Titiyo) provide backing vocals.
The artwork for the front cover was created by Swedish contemporary artist Ulf Rahmberg.
Bonefish's debut album "Bonefish" is released on 18th April, the same day that the group play Debaser Medis in Stockholm. Entrance is free and everyone's welcome!
Bonefish then play The Bull's Head in Barnes, London on the 30th April, The Queen's Head in Monmouth, Wales on 1st May and Novnois in Brussels, Belgium 4th May 2013.
