Northamptonshire's Premier Food Show
Northamptonshire's premier food and drink event will take place again this August which will be its 5th successful year - with each year being bigger and better than the one before.
The Northamptonshire Food Show at Holdenby, Sunday 28th and Monday 29th August 2011 is the largest and most popular event of its kind in area and is well worth a visit.
Enjoyed by thousands of visitors in previous years, the show promises to be a treat for anyone who likes great food and drink, along with family fun and entertainment all set in beautiful surroundings.
With a fantastic mix of local, regional and other fine quality food and drink producers and suppliers, plus more, it is a tasty and exciting family day out.
Once again the show is sponsored by the Northampton based company - A. Bell and Company - who are Northamptonshire's suppliers of Aga and beautiful kitchens; perfect partners for this tasty event!
Held at Holdenby House, just north of Northampton, this delicious event also showcases the finalists of this year's Carlsberg UK Northamptonshire's Food and Drink Awards.
Visitors to the show will get to sample and comment on the finalists for the Best Local Produce and Best Local Drink, just two of this year's award categories.
As always, the show's live cookery theatre, 'Cook's Courtyard' will be one of the main highlights of the event. An exciting programme of entertaining cooking demonstrations from local and regional chefs will aim to inspire the most reluctant cook!
This year, however, this will be only one of the few live cookery areas of the event.
Chefs cooking at the show will include Adam Gray, Head Chef of the Michelin star 'Rhodes Twenty Four' in London, and Stephen Bulmer, owner and director of Brook Hall Cookery School in Winslow, near Buckingham, has had huge experience working in very prestigious restaurants across England.
Most recently he was Chef/Director of the Raymond Blanc Cookery School at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons for the last six years. Also joining the live Cookery Line up on Sunday in the Cooks Courtyard will be Sophie Grigson.
With a licensed bar located on the picturesque front lawn of Holdenby House, plus the gardens and grounds of Holdenby House to sit and relax in while listening to love music, theatre, falconry and more this food event will be a perfect destination for food fans everywhere.
Holdenby House is also open both days too, admission included in the entrance fee.
Adults: £7.50, Concession £6.50, Child £3.50, Family (2+3): £20.
