Lovers of regional food will be thrilled to hear that Nigel Haworth’s Fantastic Food Show returns to Ewood Park, home to Blackburn Rovers Football Club on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th June 2011 from 10am till 5pm.

Nigel is the undisputed champion of North West food and this year the Fantastic Food Show is back and bigger than ever. After the huge success in 2010, with over 4,000 people through the door, the feedback was unbelievably positive and there was enormous demand for a two day event in 2011.

There is plenty to do and see - from iconic artisan producers; chef demonstrations; hands-on workshops; taste adventures for children; Claire Clark’s Afternoon Tea Room; food markets and numerous outside activities.

The whole stadium will be jam packed with the region’s highest quality produce. Don’t miss Nigel Haworth cooking a Michelin Starred dish on the engine of an Audi R8. This year the Food show is launching Nigel Haworth’s BBQ Competition where serious prizes are to be won.

The Cookery Theatre is packed with celebrity chefs' - from Nigel Haworth, Simon Rimmer, Lisa Allen, Wendi Peters and more.

On Sunday 12th June Nigel Haworth and Mark Birchall (Winner of the Roux Scholarship 2011 and head chef at L’Enclume) will cook against Lisa Allen and Terry Laybourne.

Each team will receive a mystery bag of ingredients in which they will have to cook a dish; the audience will decide the winners.

After last year’s success it really emphasised and showcased how passionate the people of Lancashire are about their regional produce. With the demand for two days this year it really endorses that Lancashire and the North West is the food capital of the UK.
