Meet Celebrity Chef Luke Nguyen and Banh Mi 11 Founders at Edible Experiences South East Asia ArtsFeast this October

Want to meet celebrity chef and Vietnamese food ambassador Luke Nguyen? Or learn the secret technique of rolling those immensely popular Banh Mi 11 spring rolls?

How do you tell the difference between Thai and Italian basil? Where can you eat chilli crab in London?

And is Bicol Express from the Philippines a mode of transport, or a notoriously spicy pork stew?

Unravel and taste these delicious mysteries of the east at the Southeast Asia ArtsFeast, curated by Edible Experiences, in partnership with SEA ArtsFest, the UK's first South East Asian Arts Festival which runs this month (October) and next.

The ArtsFeast kicks off this weekend (Sat 5th October 2013) at 5FootWay, a Southeast Asia street food market in the heart of Bankside. Thirsty visitors can sign up for an Asian wine flight by ever-quirky wine tasting pop-up company A Grape Night In and see which wines go best with their Asian street snacks. They can also meet Van Tran and Anh Vu of Banh Mi 11 fame, who will be demonstrating recipes from their new cookbook The Vietnamese Market Cookbook.Luke Nguyen

Southeast Asian feasts will pop up like shitake mushrooms, in every corner of London on the 19th October 2013. Table for 10 Vietnamese supperclub serves up spicy bun bo hue in Whitechapel - Pepe's Kitchen barbecues chicken and deep fries quail eggs Filipino style in Marylebone - while Kusina di Lola serves up a fiery Bicol Express at Tooting Market. Seafood fans should book in quick for Wild Serai Malaysian supperclub in New Malden for her legendary chilli crab and Nyonya (Straits Chinese) fish head curry.

Fans of Luke Nguyen can meet the celebrity chef in person on 24th October when he will be demonstrating recipes from his new book The Food of Vietnam in Covent Garden at School of Wok, who will be running Malaysian, Thai and Vietnamese cooking classes as well as leading Chinatown market tours throughout the festival.
