Gourmet Burger Kitchen Announce Plans to Open Five New Restaurants
Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) has announced plans to open five new restaurants across the UK before the end of February 2013 as part of its UK expansion drive.
The premium burger brand will open at three shopping centre locations before Christmas.
The first will open on 5th November in Brent Cross shopping centre in London. Two debut sites will follow including their first restaurant in Bath which will be located in the new Vaults development, part of Southgate Shopping Centre, opening in early December.
A third site in Metrocentre, Gateshead near Newcastle will also open in early December adding to existing northern restaurants in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and York.
2013 will herald the opening of two further sites, another in North London this time in The N1 Centre in Islington. They will also open a second site in Birmingham at Brindley Place, a canal side development in the Westside district of the city. Both openings are planned for early February.
Gourmet Burger Kitchen currently operates 53 restaurants across the UK, having opened their first restaurant in Battersea, London in 2001.
As part of their current growth and development plan, the look of GBK is evolving with an ongoing refurbishment programme underway.
Working with a mix of designers, the new look GBK restaurants include open kitchens and artisan fittings with new designs rolled out to its restaurants in Westfield Stratford, Oxford, Brighton and also to its original site in London's Northcote Road.
