Racegoers will be spoilt for culinary choice at the pinnacle event of the summer season.

For five days only Tuesday 19th June to Saturday 23rd June 2012 iconic British institution, Ascot Racecourse, will offer racegoers and food connoisseurs alike, the opportunity to indulge in an array of exquisite menus, each specially created in honour of the Royal Meeting.

This year, Ascot is proud to welcome acclaimed chef, Mark Sargeant of ground-breaking Folkestone eaterie, Rocksalt, who has created a series of signature dishes to celebrate great British food at Royal Ascot.

A true match of excellence, the partnership of these world class establishments will combine the thrilling atmosphere of the races with excellent food in elegant surroundings.

Sargeant's dishes will feature in the Parade Ring, Windsor Forest, Panoramic and Trackside Restaurants.

The Parade Ring Restaurant is the jewel in the crown for fine dining, overlooking the Parade Ring and the Winner's Enclosure.

Among the dishes on offer are Scallop Ceviche, Fennel, Tarragon and Crab Salad Tangerine Vinaigrette; Seared Breast of Guinea Fowl, Summer Pea Risotto à la Française Broad Beans, Truffle Foam and Beurre Blanc and a "Tropical Salad" Caramelised Pineapple, Papaya and Green Mango, Passion Fruit and Coconut Sorbets, Coconut Crumble and Lime Yoghurt.

In addition, guests can enjoy the following Mark Sargeant dishes: "Hot Shells" - Roasted Crevettes, Parlourde and Razor Clams, Mark SargeantMussels and Queen Scallops with Marsh Samphire and Cream Fish Reduction, Poached Lobster on a bed of Crushed Jersey Royal Potato Salad with Pink Grapefruit and Peeled English Asparagus.

For those looking to get even closer to the action, the Trackside Club Lounge provides fantastic head-on views of the racing.

The 40 metre long private balcony is just metres from the track and inside guests can indulge in an eclectic menu featuring dishes such as an "Ice Cream Cone" of Carpaccio of Beef, Wasabi Ice Cream in a Black Pepper Cone and Confit of Landrace Suffolk Pork, Langoustine and Crushed Minted Peas.

The Trackside Club Lounge is ideal for a more relaxed dining experience and guests can relax in their booths whilst enjoying ambient music throughout the day or take a stroll through the Royal Enclosure Gardens situated just behind the lounge.

Featuring the daily Royal Ascot Fashion Show, the Bessborough Restaurant offers an exceptional experience for those who desire fine dining and high fashion all in one place.

Now a customary highlight of the Royal Meeting, the restaurant has hosted a roll call of the finest British fashion designers including Vivienne Westwood, Stephen Jones, Amanda Wakeley and Matthew Williamson.

Working in partnership with the British Fashion Council, 2012 will not disappoint when the designers are announced in March.

For a more intimate dining experience, visit the Windsor Forest Restaurant where guests can enjoy some of the best views from a private balcony overlooking the track.

Other restaurants for racegoers to enjoy include the Sandringham Restaurant, which has a private terrace overlooking the track, with sweeping views towards the Grandstand and Winning Post.

The Carriages Restaurant, situated on the first floor of the luxurious triple decker marquee, delivers another superb setting for the day.

The Old Paddock Restaurant, Queen Anne Rooms Sargeant Hotshellsand Imperial Events Village also offer freshly prepared culinary creations.

New this year, the Imperial Events Courtyard will offer a superb dining experience for those guests based within the Silver Ring.

Run under the expert eye of Executive Chef, Steve Golding, racegoers will be spoilt for choice.

With local-sourcing and best in season products in mind, he has designed a range of exquisite menus.

Constantly striving for new innovations, a particular favourite creation from Golding is the Afternoon Tea in the Parade Ring Restaurant. A Japanese style offering served in a Bento Box it will have all the traditional elements included but with an Eastern spin.
