BBC Ready Steady Cook and Local Restaurateur Tony Tobin to Headline Hot New Surrey Show
On 21st June Master Park in Oxted, Surrey will be transformed into a vibrant street market showcasing some of the best street food vendors in the South East.
If you are a foodie then the Oxted Food and Drink Festival sponsored by Cook Foods and Surrey Life Magazine is a must attend event.
Visit the Street Food Fair where you can buy and sample the delights from:
- BangWok, who are bringing the buzz, freshness and flavour of Bangkok's street food scene to Oxted from the back of their Tuk Tuk
- Sausalicious will be presenting their Designer Dogs for the enlightened, let them know if their mission to provide customers with the best handmade dogs on the planet is working
- Why not try the Little Blue Smokehouse's American style BBQ food, using the freshest ingredients locally sourced
- The amazing Market Grill's succulent Surf and Turf Wraps served from an Airstream van
- Try Reigate's Tinderbox’s slow-roasted barbequed pulled pork with two-root slaw, it will change your life
- For the lover of Italian food visit the Pizza Project for truly scrumptious Italian pizza's with authentic flavours from their wood-fired oven
For the children, there is a lot of fun to be had with Master Crêpes, where everyday is pancake day - mix flavours and textures that you know and love. Or try Tornado Chips - a whole potato twisted on a stick OR flavoursome milkshakes and ice cream that will be served from the Wedding Trikes VW Camper Van.
The fabulous Cookies kitchen will be running children's cookery classes teaching your budding chef how to make butter, with three classes at 11am, 1.30pm and 3pm.
Throughout the event there will be live Cooking Demonstrations including BBC Ready Steady Cook Chef Tony Tobin, owner of The Dining Room in Reigate, who will be demonstrating a divine taster dish of barbequed scallops.
To try the recipes for yourself head to the Producers Market to sample and buy some excellent local produce, including Hayman's Gin. Romanet's home wine tastings, Deerview's jams and chutneys, Kush Cuisine's Caribean sauces, Ali's Vintage Tea and Hello Fresh's recipe boxes.
The Hayman family have been distilling fine gins since 1863 and have won numerous awards for superior gin quality all around the world.
VIP tickets will get you access to the VIP tent where you can enjoy your food and the live music as it's next to the music tent. VIP tickets include 2 adult entries, 2 glasses of Prosecco, strawberries and a foodie goodie bag. If you like to be organised you can pre-order a set of 8 delicious canapés from Oxted based caterer Taste the Seasons to sample with your Prosecco, while you enjoy the live music.
