"We launched our Feel Free brand to give gluten free consumers just like me the choice and variety of foods that they're entitled to - and with the quality to match. We're proud of our products and feel that they are good enough to be served up on the plates of the whole family and not just to those who avoid wheat and gluten in their diets."

Following the success of their savoury items, the company has now expanded the Feel Free brand to include sweet bakery products, Eastern inspired savouries, and a range of wholesome pies. More products are coming to the Feel Free range in 2014, including some exciting breakfast and snacking options.

We taste-tested the pasta range and took a look at the variety of pasta on offer from Feel Free Foods.

With a good selection of pasta types, including Fusilli, Penne, Alphabet and Spaghetti we were spoiled for choice. It was wonderful to see the addition of the Alphabet in the mix because for adults and children alike, it is the perfect pasta for Alphabet Soup, or smothered in tomato sauce for some memory-evoking Alphabet Spaghetti - without the tin full of gluten and additives.

The straight, long Spaghetti, Penne and Fusilli can be used in the exact same way as any other gluten-packed pasta. Cooking time is little different and the cooking method is just as straight forward.

On taste and texture, we would probably recommend a little extra time in the pan to ensure that what you are getting is really cooked through and not left too al dente. The taste is good. Feel Free Foods LogoThere is no powdery residue after-taste (like many other gluten-free pastas have) and the product is made simply from 100% corn and water - nothing else.

Feel Free pasta is free from gluten, wheat, dairy, egg and soya, low GI and low in fat.

It does go hard after cooling and without the gluten, like most free-from pastas, loses any mobility once the heat has gone, making it less ideal for cold salads and pasta dishes. But hot on the plate it will certainly give you your pasta fix - minus all the problems associated with gluten-full alternatives.

If you are looking for a free-from pasta that is good value for money, and has a pasta taste then visit https://feelfreefoods.co.uk to view their complete range.
