Discover The East India Company's New Spice and Fruit Infused Chocolate Selection

At their 'Christmas in July' event we sampled the new range of chocolate from the East India Company, and discovered that they have been listening to what their customers had to say and have worked on the feedback to create a stunning collection of new flavours for their very modern range of quality chocolates.

Perfectly timed for National Chocolate Week (14th - 20th October 2013), The East India Company is launching this delicious and exciting new range.

From spice infused ganaches and fruit infused caramels to a delectable milk and dark truffle selection, the range takes inspiration from its early voyages, to create a truly unique and decadent chocolate experience.

In keeping with the Company's pioneering spirit and palette of remarkable connections, these exquisite chocolates have been developed to bring together a wide range of flavours from different parts of the world, from Japan's Yuzu Citrus to the Alphonso Mango from India. Made in conjunction with world-class chocolatier, Marc DeMarquette, they combine fine dark and milk chocolate with rich flavour coming from real fruits and spices.

The new chocolates are presented in The Company's popular book boxes which feature original artwork from The East India Company's archives (now housed at the V&A). There are four designs to choose from, including the one featuring Mumtaz Mahal, bringing to life the tale of the legendary beauty for whom the glorious Taj Mahal was built.

Spice Infused (10 chocolates: £15, 20 chocolates: £28)
Each chocolate is combined with a fragrant spice including: roasted coriander, Thai green chilli, fiery ginger, warming cinnamon, rich cardamom and chai spice (made using The Company’s signature Governor Aungier's Bombay Chai tea blend). The flavours are blended with rich ganache, sweet caramel or soft praline and enveloped in crisp dark chocolate for a truly delightful experience. The six flavours: Thai Green Chili, Ginger, Cinnamon, Rose & Cardamom, Poppy & Almond, and Roasted Coriander.

Fruit Infused (Small £15, Large £28)
The new range of chocolate caramels is infused with real exotic fruits. With fruit infusions ranging from tangy bursts of passion fruit, the zesty taste of yuzu, the sweet nectar of Alphonso mango, and the bold Seville oranges, you can travel the world with every bite. Unlike most caramels, this range contains no added flavourings and instead uses the pure fruits and raw ingredients for the ultimate in provenance. Wherever possible, the fruit is bought directly from the growers themselves to ensure the best quality, freshness and ripeness. The six flavours: Mango, Yuzu, Strawberry, Orange, Lemongrass and Passion Fruit.East India Company Chocolates
