France Comes to Oxted
Hot on the heels of the recent Love Oxted Day, the Oxted Bid is delighted to be bringing a certain 'je ne sais quoi' to Oxted, in Surrey, on Saturday 25th June 2016.
The town will welcome French traders from across the Channel to set up stalls in the town centre. As an official Oxted town event run by the Oxted Business Improvement District (BID), it is free to attend. You will find a wide choice of delicious French cheeses, patisserie, olives and traditional Saucisson Sec among the stalls, as well as hot tartiflette and garlic prawns.
Fashionistas will be spoilt for choice with the selection of chic clothing, bags and accessories, and there will also be vintage French music and films, homewares and art on sale.
Free family fun - 11am - 3pm
There will be family fun on the station forecourt provided by Tandridge Leisure Centre. Young visitors will be able to enjoy children's activities including face painting, arts, crafts and interactive story telling.
The market will take place between 9am and 5pm on Station Road East, which will be closed to traffic between Gresham Road and Amy Road for the day.
There will be plenty of free parking including extra spaces behind the council offices and it will be all easily accessible. Keep up to date with what's on in Oxted at www.loveoxted.co.uk
