Professional Quality at Home with Niki's Organic Balms

Niki’s Organic Balms are the products that everyone is talking about so we took four different balms and sent them out to our team of testers to see what the real 'gossip' was!

Niki's balms were developed and used by professional reflexologists and are a rich blend of natural organic plant oils and beeswax, along with essential oils, to moisturise and protect your skin.

Now available to the public, they make an effective moisturisers for dry and chapped skin.

Niki's Original Organic Hand and Foot Balm

Made to the same recipe as Original Reflexology Balm, containing Lemon Tea Tree and Tea Tree Essential oils as well as hypericum and calendula oils to heal and sooth dry or cracked skin, held together with beeswax to produce a soft textured balm that melts into the skin from the warmth of your hands. All ingredients are certified organic. Petroleum and paraben free, preservatives are Vitamin E and organic Rosemary extract.Hand Foot Balm

Our tester suffers from cracked heels and dry skin on her feet but loves to wear open sandals most days; so needed something to make sure her feet were kept in better condition.

We gave her a pot of Niki's Original Hand and Foot Balm to try for a couple of weeks, to see how well it managed her hard heels.

Every evening our tester rubbed the balm into her feet and heels, before putting on a pair of socks to help the balm 'lock in' and not end up on the carpet. After about 10 days we went to see how she was getting on.

Our tester reported that her feet did in fact feel a lot smoother and the balm had a great effect on softening the harder skin, that was now ready to remove easily with a foot pumice. She also noted how much softer her hands felt from simply applying the balm to her feet.

The balm itself has a lovely smell and smoothed on easily - only needing a small amount per application

Niki's Organic Lavender and Chamomile Balm

Niki's Organic Balm base with healing calendula and hypericum oils and beeswax but with the addition of soft Lavender from Provence and Roman Chamomile from England to produce a beatifully scented moisturising balm that will sooth and calm both your skin and your mood.Lavender Balm

This balm had a different aroma but certainly worked wonders as a massage balm on tired shoulders.

Our tester got her partner to use it to massage her neck and shoulders after a long day, crouched over her computer - and it left her and her shoulders feeling much more relaxed.

As an everyday moisturiser it did a good job on dry hands and arms, being easily applied while sitting at work. A small amount definitely goes a long way.

It was equally effective as a foot cream and left her feet feeling soft and smooth.

Niki's Organic Warming Balm

Niki found that a lot of her reflexology clients really suffer with cold hands and feet, so she set about making a balm which might help the problem. After lots of research and practise batches, kindly trialled by her mum, this seems to do the job. It smells gorgeously of cinnamon and may help to gently improve circulation.Warming Balm Although Niki has avoided the more irritating oils, do patch test it first though, just in case you are sensitive to any of the ingredients.

We gave the Organic Warming Balm to a qualified masseuse, who used it on a client with back pain, with great results

They were very impressed with the ingredients used to create the balms and loved the quality of the product.

The last thing you want from a massage balm is any dragging and our tester was pleased to report that the balm went on smoothly and flowed well when in use, making it ideal for the job. A very pleasant smell again, so top marks for this product.

Niki's Organic Rose Balm

This is a really lovely balm, ideal for aromatherapy facial massage but also as a daily moisturiser. Contains Organic Argan Oil and Organic Rosehip Oil and smells gorgeous, with Rose Otto essential oil.Rose Balm

This small pot of Rose balm really is ideal for using as a facial moisturiser or for facial massage. Not too oily or greasy and much lighter to use.

Our tester used it for a facial massage and also for the dry skin on the back of her hands. She was delighted with the results, specifically commenting on the way it smoothed her hands and skin.

As with all the balms, it has a lovely smell and great consistency, being easy to apply and not requiring much per application.

On the whole, the range available from Niki's Balms is top quality and reasonably priced - and all the 'gossip' is good!
